Welcome to Craigslist. By using our site, app, or services ("CL") you agree to these Terms of Use ("TOU"). Please review the sections below — they explain your rights and responsibilities when using CL.

📜 License

Subject to these TOU, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive license to use CL. You must not reproduce, frame, make derivative works from, sell, or distribute CL content (except the postings you create). By posting content you grant CL a perpetual, worldwide, sublicensable license to use, copy, display, and distribute that content.

🔧 Use Restrictions

• No scraping or automation — do not use robots, spiders, scripts, or scrapers to collect CL content.
• No unauthorized integrations — except our App and standard browsers/email clients, do not use tools or services that interact with CL programmatically.
• Follow our policies — do not post Prohibited Content or abuse flagging/reporting systems.
• Respect moderation — CL may block, remove, or re-categorize content at our discretion.

💸 Liquidated Damages

Certain violations of the TOU may expose you to liquidated damages. Examples include harvesting user information, publishing personal data without consent, misrepresenting your identity, posting prohibited content, or attempting to bypass moderation. These amounts are intended as a reasonable estimate of damages and do not limit other remedies.

💰 Fees

Paid postings may incur non-refundable fees. By making a paid posting you authorize CL to charge the applicable fees; taxes may apply. We may refuse or remove paid postings at our discretion.

⚖️ Disclaimer & Liability

CL is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE." To the fullest extent permitted by law, CL and its affiliates disclaim all warranties and are not liable for losses arising from use of the service. Where allowed by law, liability for damages is limited.

🛡️ Claims & Indemnity

Disputes are governed by California law and brought in San Francisco courts, except where preliminary relief is required. You agree to indemnify CL for third-party claims arising from your use of the service.

CRAIGSLIST, "CL", and the peace symbol logo are registered trademarks. Do not remove or alter trademark notices.

Note: These Terms are the entire agreement unless you have a separate written agreement with CL. Some sections (Use, Liquidated Damages, Claims & Indemnity) survive termination.
